We are able to provide a detailed analysis of a loss of cash or high value merchandise about which the principal may not want to approach the police.
We expertly examine whether the existing security system & locking devices were used appropriately and in accordance with staff instructions and provide clients with expert advice on their security procedures in the high value retail environment.
Our experience suggests most significant losses are based on staff and / or internal procedures not being adhered to.
Post incident assistance
We are able to bring clarity to an event to allow the principal to make better decisions about the likely effect of Police, Insurance company and client involvement.
It is often possible to clearly demonstrate who did what and what happened using a variety of forensic techniques. This provides the principal with a clear picture of events to add to the decision making process. In a recent case we were able to help a client interpret the audit log of an alarm system so it became clear staff had not been using it as instructed.
We have been asked on a number of occasions to act for clients who are in dispute with their security system provider. We have been able to successfully prove that the alarm system was not effective and was therefore wrongly specified or incorrectly installed by the provider. This helped shift the burden of responsibility from our client to the security company and its insurer.
